Current Operation
In August of 1996 KCA opened its doors to serve 36 children from neighboring communities. Initially, the program catered to Before & After school participants. We have since grown to serve more than 85 children, ranging from six weeks to 12 years of age. Our classrooms include mixed age rooms with children six weeks to 3 years old and pre-school rooms wtih children ranging from 3 to five years of age, and a Before & After-school program that partners with neighboring elementary schools for enrollment opportunities.

Hours of Operation
Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Childcare is available year round.

Holiday & Center Closings 
The center will be closed for all national holidays. Parents will be informed of each closing in advance. The holidays & closings are as follows:

• January - New Year’s Day & Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• April - Professional Development Day (OAEYC Conference)
• May -- Memorial Day 
• June - CLOSED for Full Day (School age Program TBA)
• July - Independence Day
• August - CLOSED the last week of August TBA (staff training & development) 
• September - Labor Day
• November - Thanksgiving & Day after
• December - Christmas Day

Staff

The KCA staff is comprised of well-qualified individuals who are committed to providing a warm, supportive environment for children. The center complies with all Ohio laws and regulations pertaining to state licensing. We also accept Title XX.

Food Services

KCA complies with all provisions of Ohio law and childcare licensing and operation rules regarding food services in a child care center. Furthermore, included in weekly tuition payment by its families is the cost of two daily snacks and a daily meal. Based upon KCA's relationship with the Child & Adult Food Program, fresh meals are prepared daily onsite.
